Surveillance Technology: Keeping Us Safe or an Invasion of Privacy?
What do you think about surveillance technology? How do you feel about CCTV cameras, facial recognition technology, microchips in products which feed information back to producers and number plate recognition? What are the benefits of these various kinds of technology and what are their dangers?

I agree to that surveillance technology makes our life safe. Especially, I think CCTV cameras contribute to decreasing crime. Some people say that our privacies are invented by installing CCTV cameras. I also agree to the idea a little. However, I think we can prevent from invasion of privacy without abusing the record by CCTV cameras. I think a lot of CCTV cameras should be installed around us.

ReplyDeleteIn my Opinion I think some Surveillance Technology are pretty useful for a modern time because that technology should help our life easier, more safe and technology can replace the human such as A CCTV cameras can help police catch criminals, Facial recognition technology is a technology capable of identifying or verifying a person that it's easy to find criminals.
However, Microchips in products which feed information back to producers and Number plate recognition is quite not necessary but it ok ! ,Microchips in products which feed information back to producers is good to sent a important information to me but I don't prefer about junk mail or something boring and Number plate recognition is quite useful for makes all people on the road safe but I think a government should makes a law for punishment for example Community volunteer service.
But Anyway, Surveillance Technology should be balance between a human-right and law enforcement.
I agree with you. I also think that Surveillance technology’s development is beneficial for our life. However, as the same time, lows which control this technology should be published.

DeleteHi everyone. From my point of view, I think surveillance technology has advantage and disadvantage. Firstly, It will be easy to find criminal if they have a CCTV or facial recognition technology in the criminal area. You can check the monitor to identify criminal at once. On the other hand, It will make you feel uncomfortable. If they want to find criminal and you are in the criminal situation, they will recognize your face and identify your privacy life. By the way, we should go along that policeman to catch the criminal and be intimate with surveillance technology in our life.

As the information data, it also expresses our consuming hobbits and causes amount of junk email and text into our computer or phone. Frankly, I dislike these surveillance things, I hate that my privacy was invaded. but it is undeniable that technology is good for people, which is a deterrent and help police to get criminals. ReplyDeleteIn my opinion, surveillance technology is a product under the development of high technology, which relieves much working pressure in complex criminal problems.in addition, it is a useful tool to the government protects their citizens safely.

These technologies make me feel safe, except the microchips in products which feed information back to producer. Because these companies or shops always bother me via email, messages or telephone calling to tell me what kinds of sales they have.

They could keep us from criminal threaten and capture them as soon as possible, however, zero-privacy leads more bank security unsafe as hacker can access into the bank-online program easily who can take your money at any time.
I think zero- privacy is most scarery. Surveillance technology’s development is good. However, the technology which protects our privacy should be also developed.

ReplyDeleteI disagree with the microchips in products because with them they take private information and it doesn’t help the people, it helps the companies and the markets to know better the interest of the consumer and with this they bother us a lot because they send advertising by email or massage every day.
Nonetheless I think that these developments have more good impacts than bad impacts. I think that the worst thing of this technology is that it could break you privacy affecting your life in a bad way.
